Building a Bigger Husky Club
It should be no surprise to Houston Christian University followers that HCU Athletics has made great strides in athletics since rejoining major college athletics as a member of the NCAA Division I. The Huskies now play 17 sports in the extremely competitive Southland Conference, with men’s soccer competing in the Ohio Valley Conference. The generosity of The Husky Club members who have helped us develop new facilities, as well as upgrade existing ones, has made a vast difference in our school’s landscape. Additional support has also gone towards scholarships, recruiting, equipment, coaching, and travel. These supporters, who have given generously, have bought into the purpose of giving HCU student-athletes a superior athletic program to go along with their splendid academic preparation. For Husky athletics to continue to grow, however, we must also grow our support.
A Formula for Excellence in Athletics
The Husky Club is an annual fund that supports the Christ-centered mission of HCU Athletics by providing scholarship dollars to worthy student-athletes.
The start of a great program includes the recruitment and retention of top-caliber coaches, ability to recruit nationally, properly feed our athletes, play national schedules, and offer splendid medical services and academic support services for our student-athletes, but the primary goal must be to provide scholarship support of our current student-athletes. This support is what enables them to have the opportunity to achieve a college degree while competing in intercollegiate athletics.
Gifts to The Husky Club will be utilized entirely to support athletic scholarships for our HCU athletes with one half going to support current scholarship needs and the other half going directly into the Williams Athletic Scholarship Endowment with the goal to provide a fund that will support athletic scholarship needs in perpetuity.

Tax Information
Tax laws require an individual to reduce the amount of any charitable contribution in an amount equal to the value of the benefits received. Your formal gift acknowledgement from HCU will reflect this information. Please consult your tax advisor concerning deductibility issues.

HCU is a 501(c) (3) organization. The fair market value for benefits received is $20 per person for all levels except the Pack Partners which is $15 per person. The remaining portion of your gift may be deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
